Chick Magnet??
When I told friends I was buying a Corvette, they said, "Man! I hear those cars are chick magnets! You'll need a pry bar to keep them off of you!"
After I bought my C5 'Vette, I'd stand a few dozen yards away just to see the reaction the car got from passers-by. Turns out that young women (and most of the young men) just walked right by without so much as a glance.
It seems that the most attention my car got on the street was from middle-aged men.
So here's my advice to middle-aged women seeking attention from similarly aged men:
Buy a 'Vette. And bring a pry bar.

Here in Edmonton if you don't have a lifted diesel truck, you might as well be driving a Yugo. The girls here don't even give my vette a first look much less a second...which is fine as I am married but funny nonetheless. If I'd have bought this car years back to pick up chicks, I'd be pi$$ed!! 
But I bought the car to fulfill a dream so It doesn't matter to me. Young boys think the car is awesome though...they all want me to spin the tires.

To be honest I think thats WAY overrated unless you want to walk around swinging your keys at women. Most the time when it does happen the are younger girls. I've never wanted the car to pick up women I've been able to do that on my own so it doesn't matter. I own them because I love the car. I've always said there are 2 kinds of Corvette owner .... Some of use love the car and there are the others that think it makes them look cool if it's setting in their Drive ways.
