Crazy DIC
I'm having a problem on my 99 Vette with a config message flashing up on the DIC and none of the buttons are being pressed. It scrolls thru the config options then goes out. A few seconds later it flashes back up again. It only flashes config options. Can someone tell me whats causing this.

Have a 99 coupe also:
Ive had the same problem for quite a while. Everynow and then it would stop scrolling (or buttons would work for short period) so I could check codes. 2 times it started scrollng again while I was trying to get codes! ARG... Good thing I have a punching bag!!! Can't remember code number, but it was SHRT to Ground 4. Which is options button. Got worse and worse. Finally stopped auto scrolling Options and would just throw up warnings ie.. Tire pressure, Low fuel.. the normal ones. Of course I cant clear them, Reset doesnt work either.
Not sure if it's related, but started idling rough also .. 1100 to 500. Almost boggs down.
And now Review mirror lights, glove box light ad sunvisor lights are out. Gona check Grnds at A-pillar today and Fuses in instrument fuse panel.
Check Engine light comes on sometimes, and sometimes not. Have checked grounds under hood. Just seems too cooincidental ... like one is leading to the next. If I cant find anything..... Anyone wanna buy a black 99 coupe with nothing wrong with it? LOL JK.... I'll never give up!

New to me too but the first thing you should have checked is the battery. A bad battery can cause all kinds of electrical gremlins. If its due replacement change it on spec.
If it persists we can dig into the manual but its sure a strange one.

I have a 99 that has just started this problem. I couldn't find a post about this issue, so I guess there are now 3 with it.
