Looking for any Spiral Gray owners who have painted their engine covers / etc.
In the last 6 weeks I have acquired a 2004 Medium Spiral Gray vert w/ the light gray interior and I'm looking for some engine paint design ideas.
I have located a light spiral gray and dark spiral gray paint and was thinking of painting all the covers the medium Spiral Gray w/ ghost flames of the light and dark Spiral Grays.
Has anybody done this ..... that would share some pics?
At the moment, I do not have engine covers on mine, so I'm not much help. I have a 402 with L92 heads and an L76 intake, so my LS1 engine covers wouldn't work any more. I'm planning on getting some carbon fiber LS3 engine covers, at some point. I already have a carbon fiber air bridge under the hood and think the CF looks great with the spiral gray.
I just picked up a 2003 spiral gray vert too and i too am considering painting the fuel rail covers. Where did you get the paint from? I dont want to go too crazy, just fuel rail covers with some black CORVETTE inlays.

A couple shots of my engine bay. Fuel rail covers, battery cover, fuse box cover, tanks and rad cover all painted MSG. Intake is a smoothed ported and painted FAST90.

I haven't got the paint, I just found that Buick used the light spiral gray and Cadillac used the dark sprial gray
I like what ya did with the combination of paint and chrome.
TomBoy - I had thought about some red interior accents, like the door pulls and dash handle ...... and stop there. Yours looks very nice, but I just sold a red/red C4 and I'm kinda burnt out on red.
Cozmo - on your lettering (fuel rails) are those black or a dark gray? I can't tell 100%
Can't you find a local place that mixes paints that can give you a close match? I was told where I live that it would cost me about $10-$25 for a can of spray paint made in any color you want from the proper place.
Getting the metallic flakes in it may be the difficult part. Anyone else have any ideas, I am all
I have put red to compliment my corvette but going to change and chrome it out next.
Congratulations and welcome to one of the best colors ever made and definitely the best gray ever made (The jury is still out, I will need to see Cyber Gray up close and in person)

They look great!
My letters are black. The entire car is done in black and gray including the interior.
Fantastic!! I have the same battery cover... sorry off-topic, but did you paint yours?
Thanks for the . Yes, the painter that did my fuel rail covers, painted the battery cover for me also. He also did my stock side tanks. The battery cover has a different texture and color, but seems to fit in anyway.
