Head liner missing from Targa roof?

Hi all,

I was looking at a C5 that I noticed had the Felt lineing from the roof missing. All that was left was plastic. Is it easy to replace? does this area ussually breakdown/rip?

MY targa is see through /shrug

I like it, but the sun is somewhat bright so ended up with a shade liner in it.

THis one is just plastic. The guy says its original but I drove another one and it had felt lineing.

GM # 10246988, panel, headliner w/CF7 (roof, sun, removable non-transparent) 97-02. this is still a good number. around $70-75. don't know if this was oe or an accessory.

The glass is transparent with no liner ,

the painted roof has a liner.

This probably was a originaly a clear top that had begun to haze up so the owner had the top painted.

I would probably look into replacing the targa panel with either a new clear or a new solid top. However it looks good now I wouldn't worry about it.

I have both tops and when I use my painted top in the summer when its hot out the liner CONSTANTLY falls down. Usually when I have the windows down and its windy. Its old so it just needs some glue. I bet yours was just damaged and never replaced. No worries.
