Default Car show tomorrow/Hatchback open, will lights eventually go out?

I am going to a car show tomorrow and I made a new display with my cars stats on it that I plan on putting in the cargo area with the hatchback open. Will the interior lights eventually go out, or is there an easy bypass to turn those out. I don't want those lights on all day.

yes they turn off automagically if you leave a door/hatch/hood open after about 15 minutes.

I was going to be an azz and correct your spelling until I did a double take at "automagically".

Thanks guys. I have had it open before at shows, but I think I must have closed it before i got to the 15 minute mark.

I would have said even less than that, but it's certainly close.

As they said they will go out but everytime you open a hatch or hood or doors they will come back on. I usually first crack the hood and hatch first when I'm cleaning up at a show to avoid that.

Yes! They will.

I had the same concern at my first show so I gave it the ol' test the day before and all went out

Thanks,Matt

Yes, in fact, ANY current draw will "automagically" shut off after 15 minutes (unless the ignition is on) to save battery life....Same if you leave a door open....

They'll go out until someone opens a door or bumps the car then they're back on for a while.

Automagically is now one of my new favorite words..... It may soon replace my current favorite...."craptastic".

The C5's have a pretty good priority circuit, and usually start shutting stuff down in 10-15 minutes to save the battery.
