Yellow is the best color to hide paint imperfections and the worst color for bug attraction.

With all due respect I would disagree about showing the chips and dirt. Due to the brightness of the color, it is the exact opposite of black. I know when it's dirty because I'm sitting in the car and I can see it on the hood. My friends think i wash the car everyday, and I think that's directly related to the brightness of the color.

You are wrong! MY does not magnify scratches or nicks. You will however see swirls in silver paint before you would see it in MY. This is just a fact.

MY is probaby the easiest color car to detail and keep looking sharp. It hides everything.

I have a Yellow Vette and Black one. Both extremes.

Mine is constantly getting hit on when the love bugs are in town.

I had a run of "greyscale" colors in several cars: black/white/silver/grey and when I decided to buy a Z I knew I wanted something different (plus the Wifey even mentioned how good it looked on a Vette).

MY is just about the best yellow variant I've seen too - it's not too light so it's looks like a lemon, but it's definitely bright yellow without shifting too far the other way and looking orange.

It holds a clean up really well, hides paint issues (including the factory orange peel). It's a little different than the traditional colors (black/red) but still a classic sports car color.

I'm still 100% satisfied with my decision 5 years later!

QS -AND- MY do a good job of hiding dust and to some degree dirt but MY does NOT accentuate any of the road scars tho'

Can't comment on the QS b/c I don't own one but I can tell you MY hides A LOT! I've had one for 5 years now and like others have said, it can be filthy dirty and everyone else thinks it's clean. Truthfully, I love all the colors.

Right or wrong, I guess we are all entitled to our opinions.

I owned a MY car and it looked great, especially when clean. It attracts a lot of attention and looks more exotic. I now have a QS car. The QS has a tougher look, more down to business. Neither blend into traffic. Depends on what you want to do with the car and your personality. My first car I wanted flashy and got yellow, the second car I wanted a more race inspired look and achieved this with the black wheels and racing stripes.

Also don't go by the pictures here on the forum, try to look at both cars in person before deciding.

I can't ever remember seeing a school bus doing 150+mph at Sebring or LeMans. If it's good enough for the C5/6R it's good enough for me.
If you want to become more of an extrovert may I also suggest MY with the Mod Red interior. Not for the faint of heart but I love it!

MY thoughts exactly, it's the perfect color for the Z06, I didn't consider any other. Chevy uses the yellow in most ads and team race-cars.

I had a lot of fun with this subject a few months ago as well Good luck with your decision, as long as it's a Z06 you'll be happy

Easy killer! Grab those blood pressure meds with a quickness...

The MY Z's I looked at before I got my QS Z, IMO, really made the nicks stand out, especially on the nose. That was a major consideration in my getting my QS instead...

IMO yellow looks AWESOME but ONLY with aftermarket wheels.

If you notice almost all the yellow cars in this thread have aftermarket wheels, which is why they all look so good.

On the stock wheels...no thank you.

I ordered mine new in 2001 and it took forever to get a mellinium yellow one. Never had a negative comment about the color.

I've removed the body side mouldings and added front fender vent screens since this picture was taken.

After 3 years of owning a MY Cavalier there was no way in hell I was buying a MY Z. The car sticks out for miles and miles, but if that's your thing do it. I'm very happy with my QSM Z.
