Haven't done burnouts since I was 20 (40yr ago) Older and wiser now, why even take a small chance of tearing up driveline or at very least take a couple hundred miles off very expensive tires just for some smoke.
Well ive owned my 73 since 76 and have a Lingenfelter 98 and both do amazing burnouts!! Oh ya, iam 58 and will ( I hope) never tire of the thrill!! Thats one of the reasons the power is there.
Every male in my family has a car that makes over 350HP and we all like to do burnouts. It's fun.
My eldest brother (39 today) has a 65 Chevelle with a 70LT1 350 in it with 12 bolt posi and he screams them for 50+ yards. My brother in-law (38) has a 64 Chevy pick-up with a radical 327 and he takes her side ways all the time. My younger brothers (29 and 25) both fry the hell out of the skins on their MN6 C5's, I (33) and my 428 rwhp, MN6, C5 put on a smoke show almost every weekend for happy bystanders either at my sisters or the neighbors house, and my dad (65) likes taking all of our cars out for a spin and he dumps it and watches the smoke pour out from below.
My dad was the original hot rodder in our family, with his 63 409 SS Impala. He and his friends street raced and did burnouts back in the day when drive-in's were like hotels, chicks wore roller skates, motown made the music and guys raced for pinks.
Burn outs were cool in the 50's and 60's and they are still cool now!

lol...you already have one. keeps you from blowin the motor, i believe by cutting the fuel, once u reach a pre-determined rpm. This rpm can be adjusted up or down when tuning. if you want to see what it feels like just keep accelerating in a given gear until redline. once u hit the rev limiter you'll feel the car "bounce" off of it. bouncing it off the limiter once in a while is no big deal, just dont make a habit of it.
