I prefer this cutout design over the QTP design:

well I just ordered the DMH cut outs.....hope they sound good and I have no trouble with them. I am thinking of using Bruces Speed Shop in Rockaway NJ for install unless someone has someone else they have used in this NJ area. So you all that have them on....just a question....when closed theye is no leaking exhaust sound? (I hope)

Also, I have 1 3/4 headers....what size is everyone getting 2.5", 3.0", 3.5"???

Thanks!
I will be installing 1 3/4 as well, I have the 2.5" cut outs. They will install in the exact location you see in the pics. That is the ONLY place ANY cut outs can go on a C5

Can these be made to fit on Ti's in the location where the bypass mod would go (between the inlet of the muffler to the inside tip pipe)? Can titanium be tig welded to stainless steel?

Thats probably too cramped bro... Not to mention having a hard time finding someone that will work with the Titanium... Maybe you can get it done though?.

The button that comes with it fits perfect in place of either the cig lighter or the aux plug in the console! I don't smoke but I put the button in the console. Snug as a bug with no problems since installation in March

For those of you with A4 trannys, DO NOT PUT the cutouts near the tranny pan, you will melt harnesses and boil your ATF fluids. ihave learned this the hard way (my car came with them already installed).

Watch my vid here, you can see the location of the cutouts. its just over the axel on the down side. plenty of air flow and tons of space.

There is minimal leaking. I think every cutout leaks a little bit. So far these on my car do not appear to have any noticeable leaks. I do not have a sound clip with them, but if you can find some people from the Cruise-In they can tell you how my car sounded. Of course a big cam helps.

If you're in Jersey, why don't you call Cartek or ECS or Vette Doctors or any other of the Excellent supporting tuners in your area with Very Impressive resumes and ask them who does their exhaust work?

It might make it less stressful!

Good Luck!
