Default Floorboard Sill Plate Removal Help

Without damaging the passenger side sill plate ......I thought I would ask for some advise before I start. I don't really want to pull the passenger seat out of the vehicle. I just need to get to the power cord underneath the sill plate so I can plug in the patch cord for my cd changer being mounted in the back trunk well. I tried pulling on it to loosen the other day and it's awfully tight. Some sort of clips or push connectors, etc. Does anyone know exactly what they are holding the sill plate to the floorboard. Should I pull upwards or outwards ?

Thanks in advance guys for any suggestions.

They are the typical GM male plastic clips that are used elsewhere in the car. Pull upwards from one side or the other and the rest will follow. When I installed my harness, I only removed the door jamb trim. I tucked the harness under the rest of the trim (behind the seat belt) along the passenger side into the trunk. It's easy. Once into the trunk, you can find the mounting points along the passenger side over to the latch area.
I think I used a couple of plastic zip ties adjacent to the seat to secure the CD harness to the existing wiring already there.
