Default RIP Z06 engine :(

Aparently driving the Z06 through what looked like a few inches of moving water, turned out to be me attempting to cross the goddamn Mississipi. The motor made a huge popping sound and its leaking oil everywhere and knocking like crazy when i tried to start it.
I had to push it home in the rain. that sucked. Looks like the motor went to a better place. Though im not sure what would cause the oil leakage i dont see a hole in the block. lol
Oh well. Looks like its time for me to stop dicking around with a stock cube heads/cam motor. Any suggestions for a replacement?

LS7 crate motor?? Scoggens Dicky and others have a ton of LS type motors .Check out adds in Car Craft and Chevy High Performance Magazines. There are a lot of Kick *** motors in there and some are somewhat affordable!!

Might have blew a rod out the side of the block.

Sorry about the bad luck, but a new LS7 motor would be nice.

Son, sounds like you sucked water into the cylinders and water don't compress like air. I suspect it gave out at the weakest point; the connecting rod.

Lost mine on x-mas eve to a dropped valve at 6500rppm. I feel for ya Bro !!! I went with a 383 stroker. Here is my email if you want reccomendations on who to and who not to deal with...from my personal experiences and 2 motors recently. Almost finished with a 402 stroker now for another money pit of mine...lol
Will be more than happy to keep you from getting Stroked !!!
