Yes do it yourself. I do mine about every month or two here in Florida. Damn water
I go through the brake duct only after I get out the boneless arm out of the tool box. That is the fastest way for me anyhow. Simple and literally a 1 minute repair.
No no, sorry for the confusion. My father was the first to notice and he said both were blinking fast... as his old age sets in I think he is loosing it
The back right blinks very fast and I identified that the front right is OUT, does not turn on.
So I went an got a bulb, but from some descriptions above it sounds like the bulb is supposed to "screw" into the housing like a house light bulb, however, the one I got with the correct part number is like the one is the picture. The end or base that would connect to the housing is very thin and square and looks like it would clip in? I'm trying to figure out if this is the right bulb...
Don't worry you have the correct bulb. Of interest, the 4157 and 3157 are interchangeable its just the 4157 is brighter. You don't want to look "****-eyed" so make sure both are the same output. The A in the name is for "Amber" and if it has LL after the number its a long life bulb.
When I said the lamp unit unscrews I meant "unclips". As Toque says it turns a quarter turn counterclockwise. The bulb is a push fit in the holder.
Ok guys I;m confused. Can someone just tell me how to get to the T/S on the DIC so that I can see if it is giving an error or telling me which bulb is out?

Now I'm confused
Just turn on your turn signals. Whichever bulb doesnt flash is the one you need to change
Well guys I'm at a standstill. I tried taking the housing off by the headlight and reaching my hand down that way, but you got to have the arm of a 2 year old to fit in there, so that didn't quite work.
Then I thought that some wood I had would raise the car enough for me to go in through the bottom and boy was I ever wrong. Not even close to fitting my head under the car. And I don't have ramps.

Very frustrating for a little bulb...
Take off the headlight covers and you'll have enough room.
DeeGee I took the headlight covers off and that didn't give me any more room cause the entire headlight is below the cover. With the headlights up and the plastic housing off, the only space I can reach in is from the side closest to the middle of the car and not only can I not fit my hand in that tight spot but I don't think that my arm is even long enough to then reach the bulb clip on the other side of the headlight...

I'm stuck...
It is tight, thats for sure. Some guys take off the hood adjusting screw to give that extra bit of room. If none of that works theres no way you'd get in through the ducts. Its even tighter.
Looks like you'll have to take off the lower access panel. I've taken it off with the car on the ground.
Look at the pics of the panel I posted above. If you cant get at it, you may need to lift the front wheel to give more room. Use a jack or a ramp. You can pick up the gray Rhino Ramps at Walmart for $35. Take out the screws and pull the panel. The bulb holder is easily accessible from below.
If front signal bulbs go out frequently with water getting into the housing, the housing is probably cracked on top. The bulbs stay on all the time during the day. They get really HOT! Permanent fix is to squeeze some RTV silicone on top of the housing.
I took the housings out to do it, but there's a hole in the top of the housing mount. You should be able to reach up in there and squeeze the silicone through the hole.
Hi There Meebix,
If you have a parking, stop or tail light burned out.The Sylvania number is 3057LL This bulb is the push straight in type. If you have a turn signal bulb burned out then that requireds you to compress the tab & turn the bulb counter clock wise(left) to remove, clockwise to install. If using dee gee,s method you need the car on ramps or jacked up on one side.If you have small hands & skinny arms you can raise the h/lights up then turn the stick back one click remove the 3 screws & remove the black plastic & reach in & remove the bulb.I like my hands so safety wise I would remove the lower fascia panel.

You already have many great inputs above from CF members.
So I'll just add "do the work yourself." A shop will charge you in excess of $100 for something you surely can-do!
