Having road raced since late 60s, I save modding for race cars. (One exception: a '63 SWC fuelie show car built for the street.) The C5 will remain stock, except for red lettering front & rear, full 3M protection, and stainless C5 exhaust plate.
I would re-think the hood seal mod....did it give me the gains that everyone told me?
Really?? You must have put it on wrong. Since I installed mine, I easily spank every C6 Z06 that gets in my way. Won so many pink slips that I had to start my own car lot.
Only thing I would change is I would have bought a 2004 with less miles and possibly the magnaride suspension (yes I know, it is often a problem, but its the only thing I dont have that I think I would want).
The rest would stay ( a black black black coupe with whatever I have done to it.....would be the same).

Right now I like what I have done with this one..It's different and the next one will be different too. I won't make it look like the one I have now--we'll be trying new stuff when that one comes
After almost 4 years-I'm done and happy with the results. Just sitting back and enjoying the car. I made a few mistakes along the way-they usually end up being resold at Carlisle.
The only thing I would have done different was go right to all the ***** at once. Before my current setup I had H/C package with 4.10's. While it was really fun, it didn't touch what I have now. For all you mod freaks out there, thnk about what you think you want and add another 100-150 hp/tq and you will be good
I would not do a lot of what I have done/am doing. In fact, I would not even have bought the car I have!!
By the time my car gets done there will be very little that is still stock. I have spent more on mods/repairing car than what the car cost me. Of course when it gets done it will be better than it was from the factory.
However, it is largely a waste of time and money, as but a fraction of the car's capabilities can ever be used legally or safely on the street, and I have no plans to take the car to a track (road racing) and ruin all the hard work my brother(AJG1915) and I have done, and still have to do, to resurrect this car.
I will say it has been a good learning experience, and I really do enjoy spending time with my brother working on cars (mine and his). Who knows, one day we may actually drive them.
