Y'all?

For the reading imparied I will again post MY sob story to make sure people don't mistake a Z07 owner for an MTI owner.. ... considering with an entire Z07 package install I am going out on a limb here and saying I have a little more "warrantee exposure" than a tune or a set of heads...

Interesting take.

I had been dreaming of a Z07 pckage for my Z06 the day I saw SW's 422ci Z07 run. I decided to take the plunge last year - why not? I mean MTI Houston had been one of the premiere LSx builder/tuners for 10 freaking years... since the day the LSx debuted. If anyone was going to be around for a while they were - right?

You don't think those of us that spent upwards of $30K in total on mods and buildups with MTI are not pissed that they decided to bail on a loyal customer base?

You dont think that those of us that had faith in the company for years and years and years and years before that closed shop are not absofarginglutely angry and bitter that before the 12 months warranty on the labour of the major work done was up they close the doors?

Of course we are pissed and angry and bitter and resentful - but most of us also have an idea about life.

Life is full of risks and adventure - and very few guarantees. When ever we buy something we hope the company behind it will be there tomorrow and next week and next year - we take a gamble when we spend money, but we stack the deck in our favour and go with people whom have been around a while.. in the hope they will still be there later

But there are no guarantees... I mean who am I going to run crying to if about the tranny rebuild MTI did for me? Or the tune? Or the oil cooler install? Or the ported heads or the forged shortblock? Hell, I can't even go back and get my stock radiator from the back room anymore... the back room is empty...
SHould I now start making posts about being "left to foot my own bill" - or should I just suck it up and chalk it up to a little life experience sweetening adventure?

Afterall, it was their business and their business decision to make to close up shop - and last time I checked the US of A was all about capitalism and business savy choices and freedom of choices - so as much as it pisses me off - they were allowed to make the choice

Why is this guy so upset? I have worked on many x-mti cars and no one has ever defended them. Had one guy say he called mti back in Feb. four times and never got anyone so he made the drive to Houston. There he found people in the office and in the shop. The phone rang many times when he was there, but to his surprise, no one answered it. I didnt understand why or how Jason let this happen, But now maybe I understand.

And I called them on this also, and stated that this was poor workmanship and that i hoped they would do better. But, with the anticipation of the performance inhancement from the heads, i had Jason go ahead and install. I guess next time I will buy only items from

Here is where you obviously went wrong. I don't understand why you would install something that you were not satisfied with..especially something as important as a cylinder head. I doubt they will stand behind that, and as you said, you're probably going to have to eat it.

Next time, if you buy parts and are not satisfied , take them back right away.

I asked a simple question, i asked if anyone knew if MTI was going to back their products, or if everyone...including me was out of luck. AS STATED....i will eat it!
.

You asked for input and feedback in your original post , and he gave it.
