Default Front tire size?

Hey Guy,

I just put some new Z06 wheels on my C5,the back look good but the front tires have too much lip showing from the tire. The fronts are 17x9.5 with Goodyear P245/45ZR17.What would be the correct tire size on this rim to make the side walls stick out more to protect the rim from curbing it? Thanks Mark

The stock size tire for that is 265/40/17.

The stock Z06 size - 265. Or you could go 275/40/17. You nee the right amount of stagger front to back. Z06 rears are 295/35/18. Why put on Z06 rims if you're not going to use wider tires?

stock C5 tires are too narrow for the Z06 wheel which is 1 inch wider both front and back.
I 'll bet they look like this one that I saw at a car show a couple year's back...
