What can an IPOD outside the glovebox do, that an IPOD in the glovebox, can't do?
.
Why have that clutter, when it can be hidden from mischievous eyes.!!

Mine is in the glovebox but it is hooked to my Kenwood dvd player which displays the menu of the Ipod on its dvd screen, Works awesome. But if your stereo isn't made to do that, it will be quite a hassle.

I have my Ipod mounted to the side wall of the glovebox with VelCro and control all functions with the touch screen on the Pioneer D3 except the Videos which have to be controlled using the Ipod itself. I left enough cable when doing the install to reach the cup holder to mount and operate the Ipod Videos and have no problem with that as I'm sitting in the parked car while viewing Movies or Music Videos.
I'm all ears on this one. I installed the IPOD connection and enjoy it but still find it a little clumsy with a cable flopping all around. I wish I was more tech savvy!
