paint options
Hi I am looking at a 2000 coupe with magnetic red paint and the owner tells me on the build sheet it has a upgraded clear coat option. I have never heard of this. Has anyone else seen this?

Yep... $600 bucks... Look at the window sticker. BTW, while I'm partial since I have a mag red convertible... The color is awesome and the mag red cars can go for a premium to other paint colors in the same market.

As far as I'm aware Mag Red II is a 3 coat paint treatment. Theres a base coat a top coat and clear.
If its a 2000 take a good look around the battery to make sure it hasn't leaked. Take a look at the rear diff and check for leaks. Make sure the windows and door locks work OK.
If you do a search and find out how to check the codes on the DIC, make sure thare are no C (current) codes.
