If you are sure you were on a flat road, then take it back the guy goofed on the alignment specs.As the other poster stated balance is a vibration felt in the s/wheel at a certain speed.

Make sure the road is level. Did the previous tires have any alignment wear? If the road was level or crowned towards the center you have a radial pull, cars generally pull left due to road crown. Normally we would swap tires from side to side to determine if it is a radial pull. Corvettes are a little more difficult due to asymetrical or directional tires.
