Door speakers...........

I have some rust coloured marks on both of my door speakers. Are they known to rust or is this something odd?
How do I remove the speaker covers

I have some on my driver side. They come off very easy if you take off the door panel. After the door panel is off then you bend about 6 tabs and the grill slides off. At that point I would imagine you could spray it with some paint and throw it back on.

Try some simple green first. I had some orange colored specs on mine as well. But it wasn't rust! Maybe the previous owner was am Orange Crush drinker?

Sand ,prime and repaint,did mine in red 5yrs. ago rust never came back,mine came from wearing shorts in the summer and getting sweat on the grills.
