Change shift points
I have a 1998 vette and I was wondering if there is a way to change the shift points on my auto trans.? It shifts at about 54 mph and I'd like to move it up to about 60 mph.

get a predator (hand held) you can change shift points, firmness, a/f, timing, turn things off, turn things on.

You guys are great! I'm trying to get a couple of tenths off my 0 to 60 time. When I got it it was running about 6.2. After changing plugs, wires, etc., and a little fiddling around I got it down to 5.43 seconds. It shifts at around 54 mph and seems to take forever, to get to 60. I'm thinking I could pick up a couple of tenths if it could hang in first to 60. I read somewhere that I should be able to get to 60 in 5.1 seconds. Yea, I know I could do it manually, but.......

You guys can 1st, 2nd, & 3rd the EFI Live and the rest all you like, but none of them is going to work on the '97s & '98s. READ the ads!!!
The writer has a '98!
REPEAT - ONLY a Hypertech will work on '97s & '98s. All the rest work on '99s - '04s.
I would like to have someone prove me wrong so those of us that own '97s & '98s would have more options.................
