I've seen where some folks used a syringe with glue for this fix. Do a search. I'm sure you'll find something. It's a pretty common problem.

That works

I fitted Vette Essentials Armrests. It covers up any problems lurking behind there

I have the same problem and that is one of the reasons why I am looking at a C6. Sorry guys the interior fit and finish on the C5's are crap but other then that I love my C5. I want a C5 with the C6 interior.

My door panels were in bad shape, most of the drivers side covering was completely separated from the backing. I removed the door panels and sprayed trim adhesinThur some of the holes in the back of the panel. In places were it was near the edge of the door I peeled it away and sprayed in adhesive. I also made slits the length of the arm rest and added more adhesive. The panels were then laid on the ground, covered with a piece of plasticand buried in sand until the adhesive set. I covered the slits with the same arm rests that DeeGee used.

This was some what involved, but the price of new or even used panels is a bit much for what they are.

One would have to assume that it wont be long before Mid America (or another vendor) starts to sell C5 door panels for a decent price. Much like the C4 and older models.

stupid design by GM, the piece should not have used one continuous vinyl sheet.

I hope so. I would have purchased a quality set at a reasonable price without a second thought if I could find some.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone sold the C5 panels with the textured C6 rubberized material? Only thing I really envy about the C6.
