...just had my CORSA (Pro-Series 3.5" & x pipe) installed at Carlisle. Drove it home some 350+ miles, no drone but great exhaust note. I highly recommend it for yours.

I love my Borla Stingers, but they do have some drone.. I think your father should consider GHL Bullets. The sound is similar to Stingers', but there shouldn't be any drone.

Hey Todd ,
If your Dad likes the Stingers here is a link to a system that is identical to the Stinger at 1/2 the price . This is a video from Granatelli Motorsports watch the entire video and a drive by that sounds exactly like it does on MY 98.

http://www.gmsvideos.com/video_detail.php?mId=1359

There is an ebay site that sells the same system cheaper than Granatelli. Here is a link to the current auction, I love the sound, nice mellow sound at idle, no highway drone and at WOT they are very loud.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/C5-Co...=p4506.c0.m245

A bunch of CF members here have just installed this system on their cars.

These are made of 304 Stainless Steel

I really like the Magnaflow 15763 because it comes with an x-pipe and is basically straight pipe for only $433! It sounds deep and is loud but not crazy loud.

There's a thread around here already about the Magnaflow #15660 system.

I was looking for the same sort of requirements that you are....and listened to about 500 sound clip/youtube vids and then finally settled on the magnaflow system based on overall quality, which is top notch, and the sound that the system produces.

Check it out.

Thanks,

JC

I would highly recommend that he check out the GHL Magnums. I have them on mine. I loved their sound before adding headers & enjoy them even more with long tube headers. At WOT, they'll send shivers up your back!

I sent my dad a link to this thread. We are both amazed at not only the wealth of Corvette knowledge here, but especially by the friendly way that it is shared. Thank you!!

I really appreciate all of the replies to this post. Thanks!

My guess.....we will be seeing a new member (my dad) on here pretty soon. Is "prplprl1" available for a screen name??

Default SLP Loudmouths

Well....he (my dad...now known as PRPLPRL1) ended up buying a set of SLP Loudmouths from rocco666 here on the forum. I am anxious to hear them once he gets them installed.

Thanks again to everyone that posted with their opinions and insight!!

I have the Borla Stingers. I love the look and sound. The popping comes from not changing out the H pipe to a Y.
I like the popping. Makes the same sound as a rod with headers.
