Default Emblem removed

Hi guys,

I havent been able to sign on lately, but I'm glad to have the chance to do so today.

I was gone for 3 weeks(I was in Germany), and upon my arrival to U S OF A, what do I find? some jealous a-hole has removed the c5 emblem off the hood!

I have had recommendations on using the 3M brand adhesive remover. Any suggestions guys?

Many recommend to use the 3M product (read the directions!), but I prefer an application of heat or natural sunlight, especially this time of year.

That'll soften the remnants of the double sided tape enough to roll it off with your fingers (the blisters will heal in about one week) and finish with denatured alcohol and/or WD40. Then polish/wax with products of your choice.

It has actually seen lots of sunlight. I heard that after using the 3M product, its best to wax before. I dont have time to wash the car during the weekday, so I decided to hold off until Saturday. It just sucks so bad to see the damn thing missing.

You might consider just leaving it off. As you know, there are no alignment pins on the trunk lid emblem which the front fascia emblem has. Many elect to remove the trunk lid emblem themselves for the smooth look.

It's your car to do with as you please...

Its funny because before this happened, I was thinking about removing it to see how it would look, but since its removed, its so "naked" I miss it.

Hell NO!!...but down here I've actually seen C5 cross/flags on Chevy Suburbans, one on each side of the outside door jams., and I have seen them on Camaros. Hey, some folks like perpetuating a fraud. Still, sorry your's was lifted.

Looks better WITHOUT the emblem..WD-40 will get the residue off. Use your thumb nail to remove it..almost anything else will scratch the deck.

I'd use a hair dryer to loosen it up.
