To clear things up...the rear emblem does not have alignment pins, but the front one does.
So if I try to remove the front one there will be two holes left?
Many recommend to use the 3M product (read the directions!), but I prefer an application of heat or natural sunlight, especially this time of year.
That'll soften the remnants of the double sided tape enough to roll it off with your fingers (the blisters will heal in about one week) and finish with denatured alcohol and/or WD40. Then polish/wax with products of your choice.
