I am looking to get American Racing or LG what will headers do to my MPG? My car is a D/D and I get around 24mpg in town.

Long time no see...all my fault of course.

Personally, I don't think it decreases your MPG enough to really notice it. It does make the car more fun to drive, with the added HP/TQ, so that can equate to a heavier foot, however, knowing you that is already a problem.

Which set are you installing? The ARs are very easy and what is your plan? A DIY project? I would be able to help if it is in the near future.

Get the headers, you will not regret it!

Here in a couple of weeks I am getting some major surgery done on my upper and lower bite and will be out for some time (2-4 weeks), but if you get it prior or after that, I will help out. The ARs are a sweet setup and pretty easy to install. I helped install them on a friend of mine's ZO6 here in Charleston and I am sure he would help out too. Just let me know.

When I get another C5 (ZO6), that is the setup I am going to install.

They wont decrease you mpg at all. Get a tune and it might even increase. If you need a set or help with the install let me know.

As long as you dont keep your foot into the accelerator just to hear the exhaust. Then your mpg will go down. My vote would be for the LG Pro's. I love mine.

MPG is one thing, but what about HP? Will you be doing the whole system; power cats, x-pipe, mufflers?

Its a vette, dont worry about the gas. LG's all the way with a bullet cat back. I put cats on mine to keep the sound down, but its still loud.

340rwhp with headers, x-pipe, cat back, air intake, and tuned by speed inc.

btw, its an automatic transmission, running 12.70s all day, pulled one 12.60 at 109mph somehow.....

Obviously it will depend on whether you change your driving habits. If you drive as your normally do, your gas mileage should remain pretty much the same.

I've got a Callaway Power Group 1, DD exhaust & Honker air box. Want to go with the other PG's in the future, PG2 includes headers along with some other goodies.
