Default Valve Spring Question

I was on the phone with a distributer because i was interested in a set of next valve springs for my cam swap. He stated that since my cam was a 588 lift cam to go with a 600 lift spring which is fine. But he said that the springs wont work because i would need to have the seats milled down to accept the 600 springs. I have never heard this at all with all the cam swaps ive read on this board. It does make sense to do it, but im not tearing off stock heads just to have them milled and throwing them back on. Ill just opt for a new set of aftermarket heads. Man this throws a wrench in my cam only swap. Whats your guys\gals imput on this? Jay

I thought that the Comp Cams beehive springs were good for over 0.600 lift and didn't require machine work?!?!

Check these out from Lingenfelter:

Hope this helps.

Just throw in a set of PRC Duals or Patriot Golds and be done with it.

The nitrated PAC 1518 beehive springs are good for .650 lift and they drop right in.
