I just purchased a 2001 ragtop, so I will probably have a lot of future questions. Right now one of my concerns is fact that the the back of the top that is supposed to rest on the rubber seal on the rear deck is contacting the paint. The contact point is at the seams of the fabric. I can touch up these spots, but I was wondering if there is an adjustment of the top that would prevent this from continuing to happen.
Thanks, Brett
The make protective clear and colored protective strips, Deck Lid Paint Protectors that you lay over your paint in that area to prevent it from damaging your paint. I'm sure a few of the Forum Vendors sell them. They are pre-cut to run all the way around the outside edge of that black rubber seal. As far as an adjustment Im not sure but someone will soon answer that for you....
