Default Harmonic Balancer Ques

Hey everyone,
I just put on my harmonic balancer and torqued to the correct specifications and all. Well when i was putting the belt on from the tensioner to the crank looks alittle different. The crank seems to be sticking out alittle more than the tensioner. Is this normal? Im not to worried about it because its not drastic and i know that its torqued down properly. I just want to make sure. The belt going to the ac pump looked fine. Thanks, Jay

Here was my experience. They do go bad after a few years sometimes. The inner part will separate from the outer part. This makes the crank look like it's pushed out or in a little more when it shouldn't. If this is the same issue it should be replaced if that's the case ASAP and avoid driving on it at all cost. It can take out the whole front plate of the engine. There is an aftermarket one for about $400 but a used good OEM one goes fro $50-100.

Best of luck
Shawn
