That's because of the non-staggered fitment. Kind of an optical illusion.

I'd sell you the rotors but they are worn out and aren't even worth the cost of shipping. That was part of the justification that I used with my wife to buy a BBK

I've had the BBKs for a week now and one thing I noticed is that the rears now generate more brake dust than before. Very happy with the StopTechs, definately recommend them

Very nice setup!

So can you summarize the brake dust issue? I've had the stock Z06 pads (WAY TOO MUCH DUST on the FRONT, "none" on the back), and now the Delco Ceramics (almost NO dust, less bite, fade TOO easily after ONE hard stop from high speed).

I want the braking power/fade resistance of the OEM C5Z setup without the dust, that's my main interest in the BBK upgrade. I don't track the car, but I'd like to be able to from time to time. The ceramic pads in the stock system are not worthy of this car.

Thanks.

The fronts definately dust way less with the Hawk Ceramics. Ironicly the backs dust more with the Axxix Ceramics than they did with the stockers. The rear dusting is much lighter than the stock fronts use to do but it is noticible.

The StopTechs with the Ceramics bite better and stop better than the stockers did. The only time so far that I've gotten the StopTechs to fade was when I was bedding them in for the first time and that was after 7 hard stops back-to-back from 65mph. I'm sure on the track the ceramics would not perform well and I intend on getting race pads when I go to the track.

I wasn't planning on getting Ceramics when I bought the kit, but that's what came with it so I thought I would try them. For the street they are a step up from stock and dust much less. Running the Ceramics on the track would be a waste of the BBK system.

The brakes look great. This is the same setup I plan on going with. Is this the 15" Stoptech kit? I've been told by John at CCW that this will fit with 18 x 10.5 fronts.

That set up looks great. It is the exact set up I want to run except with SP500s.

No, mine are 14" on 18x10 fronts.

I just checked if the 15" rotor set-up would fit and I can see why John is saying you need that extra .5". There's a .5" high by 1.5" deep ridge on the barrel that runs all the way around the wheel just behind the spokes. Moving the caliper out another .5" would just touch the ridge's inside edge on my 18x10 fronts. If the ridge were moved out a quarter to a half inch I could see how these rims would accommate the 15" StopTech system. The bad news is the rims will probably stick out of the fender slightly.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about the 10.5" fronts sticking out. Some people say they do, some people say they are fine. Think I'm gonna go with the satin black when I order the wheels. The 505a's I have at present are a pain to clean, even though they look great.

Enjoy your brakes. They look fantastic. Miles better than the C6Z versions
