Question for convertible owners

My beige top got two little spots of gear grease from the overhead garage door opener track on it. I used gasoline, solvent and then raggtopp cleaner. It still shows a small mark when the top is wet but when it dries it disappears. I have only recently respotted that area with raggtopp protectant because I scrubbed that spot over and over each time I washed it (weekly) and it took a while to get the grease out. I didn't want to be too aggressive with it and damage any of the fabric strands.
Yeah I forgot, about Ford using vinyl tops. What I described is for the cloth top but the link is still valid as they have products for the vinyl tops too. Thanks black...

When applying the protectant, the second step, don't let any of that get on the finish. If you have a couple of old sheets around, let them hang out from under the top.
