Reliable sure...but hopefully you will not experience what I have in 5 months since I bought my 2000 vert...(30K miles btw)..fuel sending units replaced, air sensor, vacuum lines for a/c corroded from battery acid drip, active handling light coming on periodically, windshield wiper gremlins, lumbar module, and fuel gauge..I'm thinking I either offended my car somehow or I'm working out all the 9 year old bugs! Good luck with yours though..It truly is an amazing car to drive..wait til you find some good corners to grab!
My 98 has 97k on it and is my daily driver (even in winter) and it's been fantastic! It hasn't even had any repairs at all since early 2006! I couldn't be happier, this car truly runs like a new car.

Mine was very reliable IMO. It had some problems early on (common issues with the C5), but in the last four years I owned it, I don't recall having to take it in for any repairs.
What is your daily driver now? If it's a Honda or Toyota which run 200,000 miles without an oil change you may be disappointed. But if your coming from a malibu or something its about the same, and the radio is identical in both the vette and malibu!
right now my daily driver is a 1998 saturn something or other, its a piece but it get 35 in town, 175000 miles lots of things wrong but dont really care 2 fix i paid 1500 for it, and it get me from point A 2 point B

You have a Saturn that get 35 in town? What model?
03 and 04 are the best of the bunch....................zero issues with an 03 with 30k miles...........in fact, one of the most impressive cars I have driven.........very compelling and engaging vehicle. I enjoyed being suprised coming out of a BMW and owning a Lexus...............good car.
