DIC Reset
I changed my oil and tried to reset the oil life in the DIC upon the manual's instruction which is very simple, however, it won't go to 99% like it says it's supposed to. I held down the reset button with "oil life" displayed and it only shows --...and then later goes back to the old oil life remaining..yes, ignition was on as stated in manual...any ideas on how to fix this?

The easiest way is to turn the key to the on position ( engine not running)
then depress the gas pedal to the floor (hold about a second, release about a second)
repeat two more times.....
This will reset the oil life....

And it's the same procedure that works on most other GM vehicles since the '90s so it's easier for me to remember.
