Something weird happened...
I was driving my car to work and all of a sudden out of nowhere I heard this VERY loud clunking/grinding type noise that started out quite then got loud. Really loud.
So I threw it into neutral and coasted, it didn't stop making the sound until I came to a complete stop. I sat there for a second, took off and it was gone. No trace whatsoever. What was it?

Rock caught in a caliper?
Check your rotors for any sign of damage.
There are also other things - but not things that could self-correct IMO.
