I saw it A OK. I would like to have gone to Venice for the show (my neighbor went) but I just had too much deferred stuff to do around the house. Anyway, the gold C5 is a neat car and as I understand, because of problems with the paint at the factory, it is a pretty rare bird!

Rolled 5 off the factory and paint didn't match between the fender, the doors, hood, etc. So...they did another 5...samething. Okay one more time...yet another 5, same result. GM/Chevy then threw in the towel.

GM tried by like was mentioned, couldn't get the paint to match right. I've seen one of the Aztec gold cars at Kerbecks - IMO it would have been a great color for the C5.
I read somewhere that after the failures with the paint not matching up, that GM used most of these C5's as corporate cars. They were sold later and most people got them for a great price. Not my favorite color but still think it's cool as a rare/ not too often seen model
