Im sure Im a lot older than you (Im 51), but I tell myself about the same thing every day...I recall my senior year of high school in psychology class....Everyone in the class took turns standing up and telling where they hoped to be in life at age 50.....I can honestly say I have achieved EXACTLY what I said I would...(wife, kids, toys, home.....NEVER thought Id be a cop for 30 years though...
Yeah, Ive had some detours and roadblocks over the years, but they made me a stronger person and make me appreciate what I have even that much more:cheers
Congrats OP!!!....Keep yer nose to the grindstone!!

just thought I'd say thanks again for all the support!
Also, heres a quick over view of how my work trip is going. Touched down in Frankfurt Thursday morning, worked with the Director of Global Research and Innovation during the day until 5:30PM German time (after leaving my eastern time zone), he wants me to fly out Friday night to Paris to meet with our R and I office first thing Monday morning to review our concepts with that team!
I can't help but laugh because I now bounced back to the dumb founded state of mind in disbelief as I posted in this initial thread!
I'm in the same boat. My friends seem to think I'm doing something shady on the side to have the house that I own and two cars including the Vette at my age (32)...It seems they find it hard to believe that hard work, determination, and a very cool wife..haa!! can lead to fulfilling your desires. Its all about making it happen.

Oh I know that feeling....Had all this at age 32....Lost it ALL in my 1989 divorce....It's been a LONG road to recovery!!!

Sounds like you've achieved a fair balance of accomplishment without letting your ego get the better of you. Congratulations. Keep a good hold on your humility...never forget from whence you came. And enjoy the hell out of our favorite "toy". But I'm starting to be convinced this is not just a toy.....it's practical too. Great trunk space (coupe), great gas mileage (28 mpg so far), dependable, low drag co-efficient, comfortable, quick, recyclable, computer controlled fuel delivery, versatile, ergonomically correct, agile, uh...help me out here, I'm running out of reasons....uh...really frickin' cool....aesthetically pleasing on the road....artistic....anybody? let's keep this list going.....
Anyway....don't let the non-believers get to you ever....congrats on your accomplishments at such a young age....you whippersnapper!
You forgot sleek, sexy, agile, head turner, mind number, soul cleanser, dream maker, and panty dropper.

Meh, the only one I really miss is the 69 Mach 1 428CJ..If I still had it I could take it to Barett-Jackson and walk off with enough to pay off my C6Z and then some........and yeah, miss that 6 car garage (cant see in the pic but it goes up under the house...2 cars wide, 3 cars deep).....as far as her....DAMN, I cant believe I actually cried when she walked out abandoning our 2 year old son and me....I look at her now and wonder WTF was I thinking...especially when I look at the wife I have now!!!
