Default front airflow question?

i have a 99 frc. the front has the plastic holders for the round foglights with the air flow blocked off. Instead of payin 80$ for the z06 airflow kit can i remove those and cut out the extra plastic so air can flow in?
If so what is the easiest way to remove them?

thankyou,

I am going to drill 1" holes in mine when I ever get around to it. I have the ZO6 screens on so it really will not show but will let more air in.I didn't really think I would have to remove them....guess I'll find out.

I removed mine then drilled the holes. I didn't want to take a chance on the drill hitting anything.

Now that I have a Vararam I no longer need these. I will sell them to you for $30.00 shipped.

Just put the vette on ramps or jack stands; remove the access panels to the fog light area (5 7mm bolts); remove the fog lamp; remove the bezel.

They are not required. You can put in a set of Z06 screens to keep the trash out.

Just drill some holes in them. If you want to take them out, you need to go in through the access panel under the front fascia. They are held in with several screws.
