Default Aircondition Climate Control Question???

I have a 99 FRC that came with the airconditioning climate control with the dials and no display. The newer vetts have the one with temp display and buttons. Is it possible to plug and play the newer climate control into the cheaper climate control plugs?

I've never seen this question come up or be talked about at all. My first guess would be no, just because I would assume the wiring harness is different. If yours has dials and no display I would assume there is no outside and inside temperature censers that the newer displays uses.

I got the same display...no dials. Makes ou think they only issued the dial displays to Hawaii only.
