Look ! A Rocket Ship !
While driving through a shopping center parking lot with my wife last week in our Black 01/Z06 , a very young girl, maybe 4 years old or so, while walking along with her Mom points to us as we drive by and says..
"Look Mom , A Rocket Ship" !

I drive a camaro(I know) but i had stopped for a mom and her little kid to walk across the street. Then i see the mom point and say to the kid "Look honey its a race car!" The kid was just so joyful. Put the biggest smile on my face and everyone around.

I normally feel kind of uncomfortable about all the attention the cars gets, but I thought that encounter was pretty darn cool. It reminded me of me when I was about that age, and when my love for cars began.

Yesterday, while having a slow morning of sitting drinking coffee and washing /detailing the Z06, the young boy next door came over to visit me on his new Bike. We talked about his bike and then he wanted to talk Corvettes. Colton is 9, his dad has a fully restored and very loud 68 Camaro rag top..sweet ride ! Colton is very hip and up to date on cars...
So I ask him if he wants to go for a ride , he says "I have to ask my mom" so he runs home and comes back and says it's ok.
He gets in the car, I strapped him in, fire it up..he looks at the Speedometer and says..
WOW..200 !
are we gonna go 200 today ?
I simply replied.."I think we will probably hit 45 or 50..maybe next time though" !
the next generation is already among us
So I ask him if he wants to go for a ride , he says "I have to ask my mom" so he runs home and comes back and says it's ok.
