New here have a tech Question please help
Let me start by introducing myself, I'm Clayton I live in Ga. and will soon own one of my Dream cars. (A 02-04 Z06 or a 03-04 mustang cobra) well it will most likely be around the first of the year as I have 60 more pounds I have to lose before I reword myself. I have come a long way and have lost 175# as of 1/18/08 I cant wait!!!!
OK for my question I'm 6'6" tall and weight 360 lbs (for now I will be 300 lbs when I buy the car.) I test drove a 04 Zo6 And I fit in it OK but could use a little more head room. I was wanting to know what was directly behind the hump behind the seat?? And is the any was to fab something to make it concave in a little so the seat would lean back about 1 more inch when it is slid all the way back??
Any help would be appreciated and if anyone has any more ideas on how to get more head room please share it.

I was thinking that's what was there. But I wonder if there's any room at all to concave it in a little. I'm just talking about an inch.
Unfortunately I don't have one in my garage to fool around with.

Hi Clayton -
The 01-02 Z06 had a different headliner that does not have the thicker area that runs across the car side to side, only the 03-04 Z's have that headliner.
You can put in the older headliner to get a little more headroom.
I have a good friend who is 6'8", and he can sit in the older car without his head touching.
You may have issues at the track with a helmet though....
