Well here in Chicago it has rained like an S*B!!! The only thing dry is the garage. Dont get me wrong I am not making lite from what is happening in Texas and the Gulf on the contrary I am extremely thank-ful the garage is dry. I have personally pumped out three basements this morning and the forcast looks bad. No crusin this weekend, oh well could be alot worse!

They are now calling for 6-10 inches of rain tonight through tomorrow night. Grillin' outside now though The C5 is safely tucked away out of the elements(as always!)
East Lansng is experiencing the same bad weather.. Severe weather watch, flood alerts....
We sat outside at the MSU football game... even our waterproof rain suits could not keep us dry...
Yeh, I live in the Geneva/St.Charles area. This is natural wetland area out here. A nice way to say in is a community built on a natural bog. Well, now it's a true wetland. However, basement is dry, vette is cozy in the garage and of course Tuesday will be clear and nice. Maybe the weekend should be on Monday and Tuesday instead.

Your going to get more too. The hurricane that just left here in Texas is suppose to sweep through Arkansas, Missouri, then through Illinois. I talked to my brother in Lockport earlier he said he's had enough of the rain. I told him he's probably going to get wet the rest of the weekend.
In AZ we just had the wettest monsoon summer in over a decade. More rain this summer than we had all last year. (We need the rain to provide water to 2/3 of the state outside the metro Phoenix area). But, it's been every summer weekend of rain and huge dust storms, downed power poles, flooded washes, streets and collisions.
It should be over now, leaving us a few weeks of fall weather before winter sets in. I think I've put about 500 miles on my car since spring started. A nice multi car breakfast run further north towards Flagstaff tomorrow will be a welcome reprieve.
Unless you've figured out a way to control the weather, there's no sense complaining about it. For us, it makes up for the years we had no snow for run off and no rain. And be thank full that we're not in the path of those hurricanes.
