Default need QUICK answer on lowering

OK, i have a 2000 without that ride select option and i have lowered it on stock bolts. I am planning on buying another 2000 to add to the collection tomorrow. It has the ride selct option. Can i lower it without adversely affecting this option?

Hi vetfeva2 -

The problem that I ran into on a f45 equipped car was on the front - the solenoid (or whatever the bulging thing is) on the front shock interfered with the ride-height adjusters when you attempt to unscrew them -

I have read others post where they did not interfere.

Perhaps you can rotate the shock to put the bulge in the shock opposing to allow clearance for the ride-height adjuster as it is backed all the way out.

The function of the system would be not be impacted.

best regards -

I lowered my 2000 F45 about 2" without a hitch. Only problem was shocks bottoming out on big bumps.
