Just tried to go for a cruise in the vette, pulled her out of the garage put the lights on, but the lights wouldn't pop open? The were on, but not going up? Any ideas? Im going to go check some fuses now. Thanks
Should be fuses 3 & 4 underhood (10 amp). If they are good, check the connections to the headlight door controll module. It's under the right headlight. You can get to it through the small access panel under the front fascia on that side. Also check and clean ground # G102, on the right frame rail, just below the right hood strut cyl.
also: Cycle your headlight switch a few times, and move it slowly in both directions while in the "on" position, to make sure your switch doesn't have some bad contacts.

just checked the fuses they're both good. I pulled em both out and switched them around. tried powering on again and the left pass side went up but the drivers side stayed down. then i fiddled with the switch and they both went up but now when the drivers side light closes the motor stays on for a good ten seconds and makes a loud noise?? The black adjsutable **** in the rear of the light also stays spinning?
By "loud noise", you mean like a stripped plastic gear grinding? The OEM headlight gears are plastic and it is very common for them to strip out and cause similar symptoms to what you have. Once one goes bad, the lights will rarely work properly and usually make alot of grinding noise. Here's a link to some good replacement gears and info. http://www.rodneydickman.com/retail_new.html
Do you have rear tailights lit when the lights are on?
If not check the rear tail light fuse.... it is in the passenger footwell.
I shorted mine while wiring a trailer...
although th eheadlights were on, they would not go up or down.....
