I live in northern Virginia, and as many of you know, it gets quite hot in the summer here. If I put my car away after running hot- in the 220+ degree range, I notice that the next time I try to start my car, it turns over, but dies, taking 4-5 tries before it will keep running. This happens regardless if I wait 30 minutes or even weeks between usage.
This has never happened if the car is put away at lower operating temperature.
my car hits 220+ on a daily basis and I never have an issue restarting. Technically even if you hit in the 260's and forced the computer to shut down parts of your engine, it should still start up just fine after it cools down.

I think you have something else wrong.
I used to operate up there most days in traffic in Summer in Vegas.
There has to be another problem.
Hard to say but maybe a fuel problem? Blocked fuel filter? fouled plugs?
