Not a job I've ever seen posted here so I've no practical experience.

The procedure after youve dropped the exhaust is similar for either tank.

The book says:

Fuel Tank Drop (Right)

Disconnect fuel sender electrical connector
Disconnect aux fuel return rear pipe that connects the jet pump to the left tank and the aux fuel feed rear pipe that connects the left tank to the jet pump at the fuel sender
Cap the fuel pipes
Remove the right rear wheel house panel
Remove the evap canister access cover
Disconnect the FLVV hose at the evap canister
Disconnect the fuel pressure sender electrical connector
Disconnect the tank crossover hose
Disconnect the evap pipe quick connect fitting at the right fuel tank evap pipe
Cap the evap pipe
Remove the 4 fuel tank strap mount bolts
Remove the fuel tank strap
Remove the tank

Hope thats of some use

Here's your chance to take some pics and post up the procedure - would be a big plus for anyone else needing to do that.

Is it necessary to drop the tank on an '04 to access the fuel pump? I had no trouble removing the fuel pump on my 98 without removing the tank...just jack up the rear, remove the tire, remove the skid plate on the bottom of the tank, then remove the fuel pump/sending unit assembly.
