I have the new MGW racing **** (also had the MGW gripper). Had it for several months now. I also have a VERY sensitive sense of smell (taste buds too)... Never smelled anything unpleasant about the MGW *****.
George hand assembles each **** personally, so maybe he had something on his hands that day?
If your hand smells funny from touching your ****, you **** may need washing. You could also try polishing your **** for awhile. It may increase the odor tho, depending on what you use to polish it with.
On a serious note, if you shifter smells funny, tell your wife/ girlfriend to find somewhere else to sit.
It's probably either from the molding process or the release agent. A thorough cleaning with DAWN might help.
Or, try something that will mask the odor...w/o being slippery. Maybe LEMON PLEDGE? Now, as to where you apply this odor masking product, that's entirely up to you.
