Default Another "C5 has still got it" thread..

Leaving work yesterday, I decided to stop by the grocery store to get a 12 pack of Oktoberfest. I look in my side view mirror and notice a black C6 hauling @ss next to me. He yelled "What's up!!!" and gave me a thumbs up. I reciprocated with a "Nice ride!" and we parted.

Point of this thread...

The C6 driver rushed up to the C5 driver.

(that's right)

j/k

To be honest, I think he may have just purchased it. I have only seen 2 C5's, including mine, and this guys C6 in my area. I guess he was happy to see another late model Vette. Anyway, it brightened my day!

There is no way that SICK HP is "lowly", even by C6 standards. Lowered, yes, but never lowly.

I keep running into this too. It feels good knowing that others think your 6 year old car (in my case) still has "it". Love to hear these stories.

Mmmmm . . . . . beer!

Seems like all the Vette owners around here are about the same regardless of generations. Some wave, some do not. It's all good.

Glad you had a good encounter.

I don't drove my '01 convertible to my office often. But the other day I did. I happened to look out my window into the parking lot, and you would have thought my Vette was a rock star. There were 5 people just walking around it. Not touching, just looking. I felt great.

Many, if not all, will disagree with me...Corvette lights should be hidden when not in use. I know, I know, the C-6. My son and I got home last night and waited for the lights to close. It's just cool.

A wave returned means a lot in my book no matter what generation unfortunately you sometimes get the people that won't return it because in their narrow view-point of having the latest and greatest
waving to older 'Vettes or waving at all is beneath them. That's their loss IMO.

Have a good weekend and here's a wave from MO
