Under hood LED???
I bought a bank of 6 LED's on a PC board to replace the 561/562 under hood light bulb. Normally the incandescent bulb shuts off after a few minutes when the hood is open. Now the LED doesn't completely shut off but glows dimly all the time the hood is open. Is there enough power always there to keep the LED's glowing and not enough to light the incandescent bulb?
Any tips on removing the glove box bulb, I'm trying to grip and pull it straight out? Thanks
I had the same problem. The led bulb always stays lit. It must draw very little though because it never killed my battery. I don't think there is anything you can do about it.

Thanks for the tips Gents, I was able to "pinch" the glove box switch out and change the bulb. I also did the foot well lights but I'm disappointed in the whole exercise. This all started when I put LEDs in the trunk, they have the nice cool white look but are nowhere near as bright as the stock bulbs. The under hood light goes completely out as I lower the hood but glows dimly after the "time out", I guess there is just enough leakage to keep them lit. Oh well, another 40 bucks in the toilet!
I replaced my foot well and trunk lights with blue led's. They are very dim, but when you are crusing at night and turn them on you can see the blue glow!
