Was curious how many miles you can expect to get from a set of Goodyear EMT's. Also what tires would you purchase when it is time to replace tires on your C5.
The stock EMT's on my 04 coupe went about 32,000 miles. I replaced the EMT's on a 98 I had with GoodYear GS D3's non runflat but I put the EMT's back on my 04.

Thanks DM
I had 20,000 miles on my runcraps when i replaced them with BFGoodrich KDW2's
Best move ever Handling and ride is so much better. OWuld never go back to a run flat tire
I got about 15K on my original set, they could have gone probably to 20K but they were so hard and noisy I couldn't take it. I replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP, where I gained all season cold weather abilities that is not there with F1 EMTs. The A/S ZP is an excellent UHP tire and they just released the second generation A/S 'Plus' ZP which now is expected to go 45K. They restructured the composition of the tire core.
Right now I have the first generation M PS A/S ZP on the front with 20K and they still look good and just put on a set of the A/S Plus ZP on the rear two weeks ago. The first gen rears wore out in the center at 20K, the problem they fixed.
If you don't care about A/S (all season) then the new Michelin PS2 ZP is the best or better competitor to the F1 EMT. The second generation of those also just released and it is the OEM tire of the new ZR1. That should tell you something in addition to the C6R racing team switched to Michelins. The PS2 ZP is UHP summer tire like the F1 EMT.
I had 21K on mine and replaced them last week with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP's. My Goodyear's were hard as a rock, the difference in ride and handling with the new Michelin's is incredible.
Mine are at 33,000 miles right now and the rears are still pretty good but the fronts are worn and cupped on the inside edges. They make the car sound like it has a bad wheel bearing at lower speeds. I'm going to save up this winter and put on a set of the new generatation Michelin ZP plus runflats next spring.
I just turned 29,000 on my 04' and they still have a lot of tread left, whatever the mileage next spring im going to change them out.
( i checked the tread with a gauge not to long ago but i forget it right now what 32'nd's were left. LOL)
I will have a complete set off this week that only have about 45 miles on them. I'm in Ohio so shipping wouldn't be bad at all........I'll likely sell the entire set in the realm of $850 Give me a shout if you'd be interested

My original rear EMTs lasted about 15K miles - the fronts still had plenty of tread on them. Ended up replacing them with some Goodyear F1 Supercars when I bought new wheels. But eventually went back to running a set of Firestone Firehawks - much better tires IMO.
