How do I pull off the a-pillar cover?

Its a straight pull off. You can see where the clips sit from this pic. Maybe use a screwdriver or some flat blade to ease out the clips gently first. If you do just be careful not to damage the trim piece.

There are two pins, one top and one bottom of the A pillar. I just pulled the cover off by grabing the cover from the top first then the bottom. A little yank of the cover and it will pop off. Goes back in place by lining up the pin with the hole and tapping it back in place. In other words they just pop off and on, no screws. I hid my GPS antenna under the A pillar cover.

The thin front part is very, very fragile.
