Being that I live on the beach here in San Diego, the coupe was my first choice due to the epic weather.

After test driving both the Z06 and coupe several times at different dealerships, I opted for the Z06.

Dont know why the coupe owners arent talking about the creaking/popping sound of thier targa tops, but it happened on EVERY coupe I drove, and it was annoying as all h*ll to me.....and that ended up being the deciding factor in my case.

Even if you go to the C6 section, you will see a TON of threads about how to get rid of the C6 coupe's creaking/popping sound of thier targa tops too-so the problem hasnt been solved by GM obviously.

I'd opt for the Z06 again and again and again-besides, the FRC roof makes the Z much more beautiful to me than the average coupe.

Eiter way, its a win/win situation-you're getting a 'vette no matter what!!

I dont know,..........my top in or out,........nice and tight,........experienced no creaking etc.

But the bottom line is that a closed coupe is the most rigid and that is why the Z06 is built with that style.

Tough choice,..............but as mentioned, you dont lose with either,...........it is still a Corvette.

It's all a matter of personal reference. I considered all three models, and based on previous Vettes (four), chose a coupe. If open air is wanted, it's there. If I fear getting a convertible top slashed, that's solved. The coupe can carry a huge amount of baggage, doesn't leak, has NO rattles or squeeks, has the best closed visibility, and looks more aerodynamic to my eye. Your preferences may be different, but I'm satisfied with my choice.
