Default Tire Pressor Sensor Kit

I have ordered new Chrome Wheels and would like to upgrade my 2000 to the newer sensors since they are getting old anyway and one key fob is acting up.
I saw where someone was selling a complete kit on ebay at one point. Can't find them anymore and can't seem to find any info on the forum.
If anyone has any info on where to buy this kit w/ sensors, fobs, receiver I would appreciate it.

Also - any ideas on where to get chrome pressure sensor nuts at a decent price?

Thanks,
Tony

The sensors that work on the early model years '97 -'00 are not compatible with the late model sensors - '01-04 and vice versa. So if you are planning on purchasing new sensors, which is a good idea - just make sure that you buy what you need - personally I would check with Fichtner for the absolute best customer service on the planet!

Did you try "gmpartsdirect.com"? Click catalog, click agree and enter year model type you need (01-04). View the sections on tires and wheels for the sensor. You'll get the GM part number plus the cost. You can order there, or continue to shop and negotiate from a forum vendor-dealer.

I know that normally the 01-04 will not work on the 97-00. But there is a kit that was being sold that had the new receiver, 2 key fobs, 4 sensors. The sensors were the new style.
I can always just replace the batteries in the ones I have. And that would be cheaper. But does not solve the problem of needing a new fob as well.

West Coast Corvettes sells the chrome sensor nuts - they do look great.

You also might want to try Gene at gmpartshouse.com for prices on the sensors.

The kit was the Euo TPS kit. It works at a different frequency to the US models. Someone retrofitted it to an early C5 and t worked

The link I had on E Bay is now dead.

That is the one I was looking for. Anyone else have any ideas or remember who the seller was?

I can replace the batteries myself. Have done it. Of course that means down for a day while I replace batteries and let the PC7 cure.

Call Gene, tell him you're looking for the price of a new style receiver, FOBs and TPSs and he'll give you a good price.

Just replace the batteries and you'll be good for another 7 years.

Why screw around trying to make something else work that wasn't designed for you C5?

MSUDAWG said he got the parts to try this. You might want to keep in touch to see how he makes out.

After doing some more checking. Looks like I can do the following from GMPartsDirect
Receiver for 01-04: $67.01
New 01-04 TPMS: $36.32 each
New 01-04 Key Fob: $41.04 each
For a grand total of $294.37 I can upgrade to all new.

I have 6 each 97-00 monitors that are all working. Can sell them after the fact and get most of my money back. Plus the fob and the receiver.

thanks for the help.

Hi Tony, I will only observe that gmpartshouse has always been cheaper than gmpartsdirect has been...
